I'll Be Yours!!!
I'm so happy to have my cover for my Historical Romance, I'll Be Yours, coming soon from New Concepts Publishing!
Here's the blurb,
How far would you go to reclaim a love that does not remember you?
Mallory St. Martin will go to the ends of the Earth and beyond. He's a penniless English Duke, turned daring pirate. His exploits are revered throughout the High Seas, and yet, he'd trade everything for one loving embrace with the woman of his heart. Fearing that he will lose his ancestral legacy, he kidnaps Miss Elizabeth Caulfield. She is the woman of his heart, and she's also the richest heiress in all of Christendom.
He seeks only two things, to kidnap her and steal her heart. But to do so, he must ruin her reputation so that she will be forced to marry her or suffer social shame. By marrying Elizabeth, he will gain his true hearts desire, and gain the money in her bank accounts.
Unfortunately, Mallory has met his equal match in Elizabeth. She has molten fire coursing through her veins, and she will not be manipulated. At every turn, she gives him a run for his money, and slowly starts to lose her heart to the sea thief. Elizabeth is a skilled gambler, and Mallory is a skilled seducer.
Neither one will admit defeat. But in this game called love, which will emerge the victor?
Will Elizabeth discover that there is a greater love than that for money, or will her house of cards come tumbling down around her? With Mallory by her side, she'll find out that one true man has the power to sweep her away into a world that dreams are made of.

Snow Angels!
Ava Carrolton has decided to make her own fate this holiday season. Tired of being alone and hoping to find love, she finally agrees to date the dashing and persistent owner of the department store where she works. Who wouldn’t enjoy spending time with a man who looks like a GQ model? But, she has one misgiving. She doesn’t feel The Spark with Mr. Debonair, so how is she to know if he’s The One?
When Ava literally bumps into Noah Shepard, every girl’s definition of The Boy Next Door, they form an unlikely friendship. As they bond, Noah seems to transform through Ava’s eyes. His thick frame glasses and shy stutters fade away, while a knight in shining armor emerges. Will Ava choose excitement and security with the handsome store owner, or a lifetime of making snow angels with a man who’s anything but ordinary?
Snow Angels, by my friend Ellen Peters was released yesterday. Sorry, Ellen, I think I had a brain freeze yesterday...I should have blogged about this like yesterday...:) So, here it is. I've already bought my copy, now it's your turn.
Go here to buy it!

Winter Wonderland
I thought the above slideshow of Josephine Wall art was fitting for today, since I'm literally in a Winter Wonderland right now. Everything is covered in snow...it looks like a marshmallow explosion outside. The snow is almost covering the fence around our yard. Eye popping, I tell you.
Oh, and on another note, it seems my two Yorkie Girls have good taste...they too like Johnny Depp. How do I know? Shylah barked at me when I put Pirates on pause...as if to say, hey, play it! And, when he comes on the screen if she's in anothe room, she boots it just to see him...Funny. :) I guess you can say she has a bad case of puppy love...LOL

The Promise
Faery Miniature Rose
Marly Mathews
Holly St. Christian is a woman with no real place in the world. Her parents were killed in an accident when she was still a child, and her aunt died almost one year ago. She’s looking forward to a sad Christmas, she’ll be spending it alone…or so she thinks.
Nathanial Richardson is an intelligent wealthy businessman. He isn’t expecting to find love during the Christmas Holidays, but when Holly blows into his life all bets are off.
Can a matchmaking ghost bring these two together? Christmas is the best time for miracles, so it’s worth a try. Holly and Nathanial are linked in more ways than one. By falling in love they’ll fulfill a promise never kept, and they’ll finally put a wandering spirit at rest—perhaps, the ghost will even be given his angel wings.
Today is the day! The Promise will be available for purchase today! If you love Christmas love stories, this story is for you! So, if you're interested, don't delay, get your copy today by following this link,
I had so much fun writing this story...it's poignant yet, it has enough humour in it to lighten up the dramatic parts. I hope everyone that reads it feels the Christmas spirit in it. :)

Holiday Tag!
Holiday Tag!
I was tagged byEllen for a holiday quiz. Thanks, Ellen!
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate—no question. Egg nog, eww…
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Unwrapped, under or near the tree
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? Coloured.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? Sure. It’s always funny to see who gets caught underneath it…
5. When do you put your decorations up? When the house elf gets around to it.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish? Anything made by mom.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? I have too many to pick just one.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? Wait…he doesn’t exist? Don't tell him that...
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Sometimes.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? We have a lot of Christmas decorations that we’ve collected over the years…it’s a challenge making them all fit. But seriously, we have some really beautiful ornaments…don’t forget to hang your ornament with your name! Decorating the tree isn’t an easy job but it can be fun…and untangling the hooks…make yourself scarce! And, don’t get me started on the lights…can we say National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation…
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? I like to look at it…when it’s all fresh white and fluffy. Nothing quite like a true white Christmas. I don’t like driving in it, shoveling it is hell, walking through it…well, that’s an art…don’t fall on your ass, nothing like hidden ice under a patch of snow. And, then January comes along, and the novelty wears off.
12. Can you ice skate? Yes, but I'm way out of practice.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? I liked all of the gifts I received…what can I say, I’m easy to please.

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? That’s a tough question…I love Christmas songs, both religious and non-religious.

Lest We Forget
In Flanders Fields
John McCrae
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.
This week marks Remembrance Week up here in Canada. Remembrance Day is November 11. Canada, The Countries of the British Commonwealth and The United States view the poppy as the recognized symbol for their war dead. So, take a moment out of your daily lives this week to simply, remember.

What Type of Writer Should You Be?
You Should Be a Romance Novelist |
You see the world as it should be, and this goes double for all matters of the heart. You can find the romance in any situation, and you would make a talented romance story writer... And while you may be a traditional romantic, you're just as likely to be drawn to quirky or dark love stories. As long as it deals with infatuation, heartbreak, and soulmates - you could write it. |
This was a really fun quiz...and I guess in my case it hit the nail right on the head. :)

The Long Thin Veil and The Story Board
On Friday, The Wild Rose Press Authors were invited to spend a day at The Story Board Group. I had a lot of fun there, and I of course held a contest. :) I've drawn the winner for that contest and drum roll please, the winner is...Jackie Wisherd! Jackie you've won a free download of The Long Thin Veil...I hope you enjoy reading it!
Now, is everyone getting into the Halloween mood? I won't be dressing up this year but here's a picture I just found on the web of one of the costumes I wore when I was a kid..
I wore this costume to a Halloween Party...it went over really well, until the end of the night when the attendees decided to pop me...seriously! LOL I fit in well since my friends dressed up as a sandwich, a block of cheese and a pickle...I was dessert!
Does anyone else have any other funny Halloween costume stories to tell?
