    What Color Flower Are You?

    You Are a Purple Flower

A purple flower tends to represent success, grace, and elegance.
At times, you are faithful like a violet.
And other times, you represent luxury, like a wisteria.
And more than you wish, you find yourself heartbroken like a lilac.

Have fun taking this quiz everyone!

    Yorkie Show and Tell

As many of you know...I have two Yorkies that are full blooded sisters from the same litter. They can be a handful sometimes, but they are a joy. They have a sisterly bond that is so fun to watch. Shylah is the older sister...but she's a bit smaller than Brynna. It's amazing watching them communicate with each other and show each other how to do 'new' things. Brynna has the eyes of an angel...and Shylah does too...though she has an impish glint in hers from time to time. LOL

Well, a few days ago, Shylah was getting her hair brushed...I say hair because Yorkies have fur that feels just like human hair. It's great for people like me...people with severe allergies. Anyway, Shylah was enjoying her brush on one of our kitchen chairs...I of course was holding her with my one hand, and she never bolts, she just usually lies there and soaks up the attention. Well, Shylah has a very curious nature, she decided that she would try to stick her head through the rails in our wood chair. She has a very small head, so she was able to get her head through the slots quite easily, then...she decided to slide her head up...the slot narrows as you go up the chair...and yes, if you're thinking she got her head stuck...you would be right.

While this is happening, and I'm holding her head trying to get her to slide her head back down without hurting her...Brynna is sitting on the floor at my feet looking up at Shylah...like what the hell are you doing? Didn't you know you'd get your head stuck. I was easily able to get Shylah's head unstuck none the worse for wear, though Shylah did have a minute of panic...Brynna asked to get up for her brush...and as soon as she was up on the chair, she made sure Shylah was watching her--she gave her a look like watch me...and she SHOWED Shylah how to slip her head through the slot, slide her head up...and then slide her head back down and out. Then, she grinned at Shylah. Brynna was quite pleased with herself...and since then, Shylah hasn't gotten her head stuck...Brynna's lesson worked. :)

    Loreena McKennitt

Some writers listen to music while the muse is at work...while others say they have to have total silence. I'm not a total silence kind of girl. I like to listen to music while my fingers fly over the keyboard, and depending on my mood or my story I go from artist to artist, album to album.

But one of the top artists that I always listen to while writing, no matter what story I'm writing...it could be a romance paranormal fantasy like Twilight's Kiss...or a Historical Pirate Romance like I'll Be Yours, and I'll still listen to Loreena McKennitt. She has a haunting voice that touches the soul...and always puts me in a creative mood. I still remember dancing to her music when I took dance in highschool, she and Enya were my dance teachers top two artists.
And, if you're a fan of Highlander the Series, you'll remember her music on there. :)

Loreena also happens to be Canadian born...just like me. She still lives in Canada in between her hectic touring schedule. So, take a moment, and check out her music...you won't be disappointed. :)

    Steele Loving It!

Louisa's blog entry for today inspired me to make up a similar blog feature...except I thought I'd feature the Remington Steele DVD collection. I haven't finished watching the fourth and fifth seasons yet...but you can't beat watching this classic television show on DVD.

I think this show is a great example of daring to show a female lead that can match the male lead, wit for wit and strength for strength. It was a drama/comedy that had enough romance and adventure to keep fans watching...:) And, since I was just a little kid in the 80's, I'm now rediscovering an old show that's new again.

And with Pierce Brosnan playing the dashing Remington Steele, Stephanie Zimbalist playing the intrepid Laura Holt and Doris Roberts playing the proffessional yet lovable Mildred Krebs how can you be disappointed? :)

    Roses and Faeries!

I'm so excited! You might wonder why I titled this post Roses and Faeries...well, it was for a really good reason. My editor Amy Herald and the editor of the Black Rose Line, Robbi Hess were interviewed over at The Wild Rose Press, and Twilight's Kiss is mentioned in the interview...so go and check it out!

Plus, we all know how much faeries love gardens, roses and any other kind of flower. :)

    Here's the link:

  • A big thanks goes out to my editor Amy Herald, and to Robbi Hess, editor of The Black Rose Line.

I'll also be at The Romance Studio tonight at 9 pm EST...The Wild Rose Press is having a chat there!

    For Crying Out Loud!

No more Stargate SG1. :( This show has been around for almost a decade...and now, to hear that's it's going the way of the dragon...well, it stinks. I thought that it would at least make it to twelve seasons...but ah, well. It hasn't been the same since Richard Dean Anderson left...without Jack, Stargate SG1 has just lost its spirit. I have to say I'm still a fan of the way Stargate SG1 used to be...you know the episodes with Hammond, Janet, Jacob and Jack. Don't get me wrong...I still kept watching because I love the characters of Samantha, Daniel and Teal'c. I guess I'll still have Stargate Atlantis to soften the blow. :)

Okay, enough about Stargate...even though I'm still bummed.

The Wild Rose Press will be having a Cyber Celebration coming up on Sunday, September 10 at 8 pm EST...more details to come. I'd love to see some familiar cyber faces there...hint, hint.

    That's all for now.
